Originally commissioned for a Steampunk novel, each theme was for a specific character in the story. When the deal between author and composer folded, the music project was renamed and all song titles changed.

There were 3 more songs I had lying around, which are not instrumental, but they fit the theme of Airship Adventures, so they have been added, too.

When the horrible tragedy of 9/11 occurred, a JBM fan who was a volunteer firefighter in California immediately answered the call -- he drove straight on day and night until he reached Ground Zero. There were only 3 CDs he took with him on the several week trip: You Are Understood, part 1, 2 and 3. He related that these were the soul food that kept his spirits up and his hopes alive during the drive and at Ground Zero while he worked side by side with the NYFD and NYPD, Red Cross and other volunteers from around the USA.

    CD REVIEW by Lord Litter

Oh WOW. What a sound!! What a mixture!!!
    Wild. Intense!!! BRILLIANT!!! Ultra unique!!!

I listened to the album several times yesterday. No joke: this is the best rock-songwriter album I’ve heard in AGES. Yeah there is a little bit of Lennon there, but it's also like Prince at his best if he were a white guy. Also, a bit of British R&B/Gospel pops up here and there (Steve Marriot). Probably, with my European ears, I'm hearing this a bit clearer.

If so-called “melody rockers” like Bryan Adams, etc., would listen to this album they would realize the very poor quality of their own music. I don't want to offend anyone, but I get so much music all the time so a real different/unique album stands out very clearly. The production is killer!

I actually had *difficulties* picking one song to be played for the radio show. The whole CD appears like a concept, so most songs work best when I listen to the whole CD [and] really should be played all together at a show. I'll have to do that.

Plus, I'd like to add some extra points to the album for the drums! Played like a melody-instrument, always offering some interesting twists. Very cool, very different!! Can't wait to hear the next release!

Jon MacKinder's music is a perfect example how to create some real unique high quality music with the new gained independent freedom!

The quality of this release led to a special presentation via Radio Marabu (http://www.Radiomarabu.de), the European radio network that broadcasts Lord Litter's shows to more than 9 European countries.

    ALBUM REVIEWS:

BEYOND GREAT-SENT CHILLS UP MY SPINE

It has energy, power, emotion. The songwriting is very spiritual and heartfelt. When I was listening to "ANOTHER DAY" it sent chills up my spine--there is so much in the songs in the way of Passion. Every song seems to have a commonality to life experiences I have had and I'm sure any of the other people whom listen to this album will agree. The album really touched me in many ways. You know I would have to say the album is beyond great.

I haven't stopped listening to this CD since I got it.

Thank you for allowing me to experience it.

    A MUSICAL FEAST

Come And Get Me is a musical feast that leaves me wanting more.

The cut, Your Dream Is Coming is rattling around in my head like a nuclear powered Super-Ball that just will not stop, not that I even want it to. Jon has managed to once again tap into the genetic rhythms that drive our primal need for music. Cancel all appointments, unplug the phone and rediscover what it is to hear great music!!!

BLEW ME AWAY LIKE NO OTHER RECORD

I had goosebumps upon goosebumps, this is the record I've waited over 10 years for. [Jon] showed me that my hope for a record like this was justified. I am so touched and amazed by [this] record and listened to it 7 times straight through, over and over; you blew me away like no other record I've heard in the last 10 years.

Thank you for sharing this opus with us.

Come And Get Me is, since yesterday (the day I received it), one of my favorite records. Thank you for the song, Daredevil, it speaks out of my soul directly, because I protect my better half with my own life, and with all I can, it spoke out of my soul like no other song did before.

    FLOWS

I love this music. It flows in the most erotic and sensual way.

Very beautiful and touching. Love it!

    FUELED BY THE DIVINE

When I listen to Jon sing, I feel like I'm hearing a voice inspired by passion and fueled by the divine.

    PURELY INTOXICATING

Jon MacKinder's 'Come And Get Me' came and grabbed me upon my initial hearing of the first few captivating notes of "For The Heart of Charlotte" and then... I heard his voice.

TAKES YOU AWAY TO ANOTHER WORLD

Jon MacKinder's music is beautifully inter-wound with emotion. His music transpires its theme seamlessly. His music sets an impact into you with its intrinsically melodic structure, and its liveliness.

Jon's music takes you away to another world and tells you a story.

CD REVIEW FROM A GERMAN MAGAZINE

"10/10 Jon MacKinder did it. He created a milestone and delivers, just by the way, one of the best records of our time. PERIOD."

COME AND GET ME - Jon MacKinder's record in review by E. Kauertz - Local Supporter Magazine (Germany)

Are there records which seem to know how you feel? Ever had a deja-vu?  I mean, you insert a disc and all of a sudden you think, geez, I just talked about that, or felt that way recently, or even said this also many, many times? And I don't mean these greasy love songs. I mean songs which take a balance between surreal happenings and actual events coupled with their own intuition and philosophic passions. There are probably tons of artists out there who might try to reach this very lofty goal, most of them fail miserably. In an old Arabian bed-time story they always spoke about a true pure person, someone who cares, someone who really stays strong for ideals, morals and actions. The diamond in the rough. Such a person, is Jon MacKinder. Do I see right now a raised eyebrow?. Shouldn't be, because the newly released compact disc, will also speak out of your soul. Why? Read on.

And the prize, for the most beautiful cover artwork of the year, goes to "COME AND GET ME". It's so simple, but still so full of dreams. It really invites you to dream on. Well, I personally felt that way. Hand made by Jon as well for sure. However, 3 years of ambitious work was needed to complete "COME AND GET ME.” I would lie when I say it's not recognizable. Recording, rerecording, arranging, rearranging, mixing, mastering etc. And trust me, all the details, all the love, the passion and the emotions of the process simply influenced the quality of this album, and when you enjoy art, you will definitely feel every second.

Unfortunately, it's rare to feel music these days with so much enthusiasm and love. I always hear people complaining that the music was better in the 80s, because you could feel the music and not only consume it once and then think about another musician. "COME AND GET ME" is a little attention whore (in a VERY good way, of course). You cannot skip through the tracks—you simply feel magnetized. It's like this cd is not an object anymore, it releases such a power; Jon singing about old love, new love, protection, the poetic and dark sides how life can be. The lyrical quality is just the cream de la creme. Ups and downs, highs and depths, sang and played—it feels simply like in a time machine, when bands like Pink Floyd had their biggest days.

But Jon is not alone with his guitar; a violin and an orchestra follows in a few songs to jerk really every single hair up. I mention it's rare but in this case I have to say that the mixing played an excellent part to let everything flow so smoothly together like it would be one divine sound which cracks out of a cloud from above. SERIOUS.

The album is mostly dominated by slower songs, which is the wave Jon floats on the best, I think. But the song "How Does It Feel" pushes up the roof, and walks in a faster tempo.

And the self-titled song "COME AND GET ME" saws off the chair legs to make you fall off the chair; finest old school rock with a scent of passion.

I have to say it again, EVERYONE who complains that the music scene would always spit out clones of someone else and that the soul of the good old music times would be dead, PURCHASE THIS ALBUM, DO IT.

People always say you cannot buy dreams, but I promise you, by the purchase of this record you can do yourself a favor with giving your dreams the greatest inspiration for dreaming.

I wouldn't say Jon MacKinder is just a dreamer. Jon MacKinder is an artist who understands it like no one else better to express his soul and love through his voice.

Jaw-dropping guarantee as well. Jon Mackinder did it. He created a milestone and delivers, just by the way, one of the best records of our time. PERIOD.

The record is already available online and next year on February 9th it will shipped worldwide—released to all retailers.

Jon has an amazing career in front of him. He walks a straight path, and with his passion, consistent artistic craftsmanship to write and the love in his heart he definitely will nail the music scene and will leave even more people with a jaw dropped to the ground.

I say, WOW. That I can still experience that, blows me away.

A sexy, sly, emotional, thrilling, exciting ride on the daredevils back through a unforgettable journey through human poetic thinking.

I still cannot believe what I heard. WOW This might be the record they will all talk about [next year], so better make sure to pick up your copy today, to know what's up next year.

    10/10 - A Milestone

Tracks you shouldn't miss: ALL OF THEM! (Do not miss any!)
